Broderie Perse: Blue Vase

As I begin my first journey in blogging, I'll begin with my new Broderie Purse project. I will post the steps as I go.

As I began working on my blue vase (need to find a name for this project) the challenge is how much of the background to leave around the flowers. I want the flowers to look like they are laying right on the vase, so trying to appliqué as close as possible leaving little of the background fabric to be seen. I do use the needle turn technique. I find it the easiest to get the results I like best.
